A little bit about me

My name is Annaclaire Johns and I’m 22 years old! When choosing me to be your nanny, you can be assured in knowing that I will not only follow the requirements of the family, but also go above and beyond in caring for the children’s specific needs, keeping the house in tip top shape, and I have background in cooking/management as well as meal prep everyday so I am well equipped to prepare health-conscious and delicious meals daily! I also have my certified nursing assistant license with on the job experience of care giving for the last 5 years and I’m CPR and first-aid certified. I am the oldest sibling of 3 girls, and the oldest grandchild of 9, ages ranging from 22-4. I have a lifetime of self experience with caring for young children and in-home experience with my own family. I possess expert interpersonal skills, I’m dependable and honest. I also have experience with autistic children, children with ADHD, and I am willing to earn your trust and provide the best assistance I can!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to babysit my two sisters on weekends for years! I’ve been changing diapers since I was 12 years old and I have personal experience with children of all ages! I have babysat for friends and family as well since I was able to drive!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I will accommodate for weather of course, I was a collegiate athlete at Brescia University in Owensboro. I’m highly active and love any indoor/outdoor activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When taking care of kids, especially someone else’s kids, the most important thing to remember is that I become a role model for the children. Children are like sponges. Everything I do or say, they see. It’s my job, to do everything required of me, yes, but also to set an example for the children that can benefit them always. And ultimately, treat them as I would want someone else to treat my own children.

My experience with special needs children...

Autistic children: I have two young cousins with autism and I have been able to help them to establish daily routines, people skills, and daily task completion.
ADHD: I have ADHD personally, and I am well equipped to handle and care for a child who has signs and symptoms of ADHD. I work well under pressure and can help children to develop ways to cope and understand their own minds and tendencies better!

This is all through my own personal experiences. I have never went through training on caring for children with these needs. I simply know how to go about caring for them and can be a role model as well as an empathetic person to look to for help!
