"I am pleased to write this reference letter for Annelise, who was an outstanding employee during her time at the YMCA. I had the pleasure of working closely with her 2 years and I can confidently say she is one of the most dedicated and reliable team members I’ve had the privilege of working with.
Annelise consistently demonstrated strong work ethic and an exceptional level of professionalism. She approached each task with enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality results. Annelise’s reliability and proactive approach made her a valuable asset to our team.
One of Annelise’s greatest strengths is her ability to adapt to new situations and challenges. She quickly grasps new concepts and is always willing to go the extra mile to learn and improve her skills. Her positive attitude and problem-solving abilities make her a go-to person for troubleshooting and brainstorming innovative solutions."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I do a lot of babysitting jobs on the weekends. I have volunteered at shelters and I was also a preschool teacher.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking walks to the park or through nature trails. The aquarium is always a fun time with kids! I am a very crafty person so I enjoy doing projects and/or arts & crafts for the kids and parents to enjoy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child feels loved and the parents feel secure that their child is being well taken care of. Keeping in constant communication with the parents throughout the day helps relieve some of the anxiety that comes with leaving your child. Building a bond with both parents and child will allow for the relationship with the nanny to grow stronger and faster. Trust is a must! I always make sure to let the parents know where we’re going and when we will be back.
My experience with special needs children...
While working at the Ymca, we had between 3-4 special needs children. Some of them were nonverbal and the others were on the spectrum. Working with special needs children requires a lot of patience and understanding. In times of difficulty , it was important to make the child feel heard & understood. Some require more attention than others and some learn differently than others. It’s always good to pick up quickly on their behaviors and their triggers so I am able to assist them better.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment with my nanny toddler is hearing her form sentences. She’s delayed in speech so I have been working with her on small words & putting them together. She is now copying everything she hears and is trying to sound out words! These are my favorite moments.

Hey ya’ll, I’m Shannon! I am a mature and experienced yet energetic nanny with a long and varied history working with families and their little ones. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have worked professionally as a dedicated nanny, Mother’s Morning Out instructor, Fine Arts for 4’s camp leader, and as a Young 2’s preschool teacher. The majority of my experience and where i excel the most is with infants and toddlers. I worked with multiple families throughout Metro Atlanta both in full and part time capacities and also fulfilled roles such as personal assistant to aid my families in areas such as shopping, errand running, doctor/therapy appointments, laundry, and pet care to name a few. I’m typically an active person/nanny and firmly believe in being involved regularly within the community walking/playing at parks, visiting local baby/kid friendly attractions, play group, classes, etc. I’m definitely not your cup of tea if you desire a home bound nanny!
