Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Day care assistant. My daily tasks included caring for little ones from babies to school aged children. I also took care of autistic babies and school aged kids. I dressed and changed diapers, prepared nutritious delicious meals, prepared bottles, ensure that babies were safe, comfortable, secured and happy. Taught kids basic skills such as identifying colors, shapes, numbers and letters. My job also entailed developing schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity and rest. I also organized activities so children can explore interest and develop skills. I picked up and dropped off after school kids from the public school which was walking distance

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities I enjoy doing with kids include reading, singing different nursery rhymes and songs, coloring, painting, identifying shapes, colors, numbers letters, learning the letters of the alphabet, play with blocks to help develop motor, cognitive and creative skills.

Outdoor activities include running around in the park or outside in the back yard if the family has one , going to the library, going to the park.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is that I get to care for the most precious little ones and to see how well they develop and grow as time goes by. It is such a wonderful feeeling to know that I am part of this processs and a family is dependent on me to help them with the parenting process. I know that being a nanny is not the easiest job but it is definitely one of the most glorifying jobs because the families are literally trusting you with their precious ones.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs kids has been a blessing. I have gotten to understand them better and able to communicate with them in a way alot of people cannot. The special needs kids I have dealt with are non verbal and I have been able to observe them enough to understand their daily needs. This has given me the ability to make them feel comfortable and happy. For example when I realise that he may start getting agitated I know he might want something to eat or want to do another activity. So I am able to give him exactly what he needs at this specific time. It's really a great feeling being able to help and care and love kids which are just a little different. It's really a blessing and I enjoy every bit of it.
