A little bit about me

Hello, I'm Aria. I've been working in the healthcare industry for 8 years, I have 2 beautiful smart children. My daughter and I have relocated from Pensacola FL to Lafayette Indiana in October of 2021, I'm currently a student at Florida Technical college and due to graduate in April of this year. I've worked at 2 different hospitals in the Pensacola area for the past 4 years full time, and nannying part-time for about 2 years. I am first aid and CPR certified. I enjoy working with kids of all ages. Please rest assure that your child/children will be well taken care of while in my care. I am currently working full-time weekdays 7am-430pm, so as of now I can be of service to a family that needs a nanny on Weekends, and Tuesdays and Thursdays after 5pm.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working in the hospital there were times my job required me to watch after children of all ages. Some nights I worked 1 on 1 with a child in their hospital room my entire 12 hour shift, other nights I may have to work the entire children ward where I'll have anywhere from 1 to 6 children to monitor during my shift..... At the age of 20 I worked in a childcare facility as a childcare provider in the 2-3 year old class, which I did that job for 2 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When the weather is nice I enjoy taking the kiddos to the park, attending activities at the YMCA, playing outside in the yard, festivals, face painting, coloring, letting the kids help with preparing simple meals/snacks, doing arts and crafts, reading, teaching them colors, letters, numbers, spelling, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure that the safety of the children always comes first. Making sure before you leave you've made a positive impact on that child's life, and making sure you did your job accurately and correctly before you end your shift. Protecting and caring for that child as if they were your own child at all times. Being patient, supportive, compassionate, and trustworthy to the children and their family so they have a peace of mind when leaving their most precious part of life in your care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most memorable/bittersweet moment of being a nanny is when the 2 children I cared for for a year and a half cried and hugged me so tight when they knew it would be my last day working with them because their family was being deployed. I knew then that I made a huge impact on their lives that they'll never forget. The mother and father also got emotional and referred to me and my daughter as family.
