I spent many years as a camp counselor in upstate New York and in addition to my work in research I worked for five years at the University of Oregon's lauded Moss Street Children's Center. During my time at Moss Street, I drove the school bus, managed the front desk, and supported teachers and classrooms.

I love reading to kids, going for walks, imaginative play, drawing, legos, etc. For example, when my children were young, we coined an activity "owling," in which we walked around making owl and bird calls. (Note: I have some experience doing field work for the USFS.)
