I have 18yrs experience as an educator both in formal and informal education settings. I have worked with children of all ages (1yr to 18yr) throughout my career. I have spent the last 2yrs working in early childhood care. During this time I served as a lead toddler teacher for 2-3.5yr olds before moving to Fort Wayne where I currently serve as the director of an aftercare program for a local private school. My personal philosophy is that children learn best through play and that learning should be student centered. I work to explore and support students interests and encourage outdoor play. I enjoy sharing my background in biology with students and passion for wildlife.
