I volunteered my Fridays and Saturdays to co-host tennis tournaments for 30+ kids ages 5 - 16. I refereed when they needed me to, I serviced snacks, helped with scoring, etc.

Communication. The ability to be able to communicate with the parents but especially the children because each child is different so you may have to problem solve and find a new way of communicating with them.

A three-year-old little boy wanted me to read HARRY POTTER to him as a bedtime story... I knew I was doomed from there hahaha.
So I picked up where his parents left off and I pronounced a character's name wrong and he stopped me and goes "No, No Ms. Ashleigh, I'm sorry but that's not how you say it." Then he gave me a lesson on how to say the character's name, I tried again and he said "Actually, that's okay, no more for tonight..."
It's still so funny to me to this day. I love that kid.
