Hi! My name is AshLeigh I am 22 years old and my passion is to work with kids. Some things to know about me is that I have worked in two daycare centers with ages as little as 1 to the oldest being 7. I also have a few years of volunteer work for trauma groups / summer camps with kids 4-9. I babysat a baby of my moms friend from 8 months til he turned 3. I am not cpr or first aid certified but am working toward it as safety is #1. I understand emotions in children and love to have fun but also help them learn new things! I think the most important part of being an nanny or caring for kids is always their safety. Aside from that, also respecting boundaries and making sure the kids is comfortable, and having fun! It caters to their development and sense of self.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s not a specific memory but when I worked in the daycare I loved watching kids figure out how they feel about something. If we did water day for example, I loved watching their faces when they learn and decide “oh I love this” or “oh I hate this.” As they get to know themselves they are growing and I love being able to love and support kids through that, and cheer them on every second of the way.
