Babysat for American families when we lived overseas. Nanny for summers during high school. Three years teaching at private school for 4yr olds/pre-k and substituted in infant through 8th grade as needed. Taught swimming to kids in the summer and was a certified lifeguard. I would of course renew all cpr/lifeguard licenses before taking on a nanny job. Also was exclusive sitter during high school for infant with health problems (severe reflux and had several monitors he had to wear) so I'm comfortable with any health issues that may arise. I'm very proud of being the person who was able to stop a 2 yo little angel's habit of sleeping with her parents so they got their room back, and she slept in her own crib. It took lots and lots of singing and walking with her and just sitting next to her crib so she knew she wasn't alone until sleeping in her own room was normal.

In my early teens I have coached mini-volleyball/basketball and was an umpire for mini softball. The coaching and umpiring required me to look after and ensure the safety of the children. Most recently I was a nanny for 4 kids. I would be with them from 6am-5pm tuesday-saturday. The kids ages ranged from 9mo, 4yr, 6yr and 10 yr olds. The older children I would drop off at school, while watching the other 2 the entire day. A bit later I watched another addition to their family. I watched their infant only for a short time before moving to colorado.

As a pastor's daughter, I think I grew up in an environment where childcare was expected (often times, however, unpaid). But it was always something I loved. Whether it was spending an afternoon at the park with one of the congregation member's children while they were at Bible study, or working as a full-time nanny, or even working as a camp counselor for several summers, I have had my fair share of childcare experience. Beyond that, I have worked in early childhood care facilities and most recently, have been working as a substitute teacher here in Minneapolis as I finish up my masters program (which, coincidentally, is in the field of education). Whether it is a 3 month year old screaming baby, an active 10-year-old child, or a 16-year-old rebellious adolescent, I have had experience in working (and playing) with all ages.

I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I've always babysat for families in my neighborhood and also for families I was referred to. I nannied for a wonderful family (twins, one boy, one girl). I cared for the boy at school being his Para Therapist due to his Autism. We integrated him into school by himself so I am looking for a new part time position. I am looking for a permanent part-time job (8am-5pm; Monday-Friday).

I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old for family friends, and eventually in high school started babysitting consistently for two of my high school teachers. Their children were both 3 years of age when I began. However, once I began my freshman year in college I moved and began to nanny for a family with a five month old. I was with her from seven am until the early evening, three times a week. I have just graduated, and throughout my college experience spent my time babysitting and being a nanny for family friends. I enjoy children, and look forward to beginning a new chapter with a new family.

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Loveland, OH?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home.
