More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My journey with child care began several years ago and has encompassed a variety of enriching experiences.I started as a mentor, guiding younger children through educational and recreational activities. Recognizing the importance of formal training, I earned my Red Cross Babysitting and Child Care certification, which equipped me with essential skills in safety, first aid, and child development. Throughout high school, I gained hands-on experience as a nanny, providing personalized care and fostering strong bonds with the families I worked with. My passion for early childhood education led me to become a teacher's assistant at an Early Development Child Care Center, I supported teachers and engaged children in learning activities. I have a knack for connecting with kids, making them feel comfortable and valued. Additionally, I have specialized experience in caring for children with special needs, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they deserve.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When watching over children , I enjoy engaging children in a variety of outdoor and indoor activities that cater to their interests and developmental needs. Outdoors, we explore nature through walks and scavenger hunts, play at the park, enjoy sports and games like soccer and catch, and even have fun picnics or scooter/bike rides. Indoors, I love fostering creativity and learning through arts and crafts, storytime and reading, cooking or baking simple recipes, and playing educational games and puzzles. These activities not only keep children entertained but also support their physical, cognitive, and social development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, what matters most to me is creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. I am dedicated to fostering their growth and development through engaging activities, personalized care, and positive reinforcement. Building strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their families is essential, as it ensures open communication and a supportive partnership in their upbringing. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the children’s happiness, confidence, and well-being.

My experience with special needs children...

While working in the child care center, I had the rewarding experience of supporting multiple students with diverse special needs. To ensure each child felt included and understood, I organized a special needs field day tailored to their unique abilities and interests. I designed various activities that catered to different sensory, motor, and cognitive needs, such as a tactile play station, adaptive sports games, and interactive music sessions. By collaborating with parents and the head teacher, I created an inclusive environment where every child could participate, celebrate their achievements, and experience a sense of belonging. This event not only provided a fun and engaging day for the children but also highlighted the importance of inclusivity and individualized care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite nanny moments are spent singing with the children, sharing their joy and enthusiasm for music. I love when they teach me their favorite songs, or when I learn new tunes to sing along with them. These musical moments not only bring us closer but also create a fun, engaging way to bond and build lasting memories together.
