More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience in working in daycares as an assistant teacher, a preschool teacher, and a Spanish/English tutor for children under 11 years old. I have upwards of ten years of experience nannying/babysitting. I also have experience working with adults with mental disabilities and disorders.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything that can bring creativity out of the both of us! I love to create lesson plans/activities around imagination and learning, working with the personal preferences of the individuals I’m working with.

I believe that there is nothing more important while nannying than creating a true connection and relationship with the family and child that you are taking care of. There is so much trust being placed into a nanny to leave your child with them, and it is so important to set a precident of trust and respect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments while working with children have always been the moments where a child feels understood and heard by an adult for one of the first times. I practice radical compassion and empathy in every aspect of my life, and too often (as adults) we tell children that their emotions and experiences are less valid than ours as adults. This couldn’t be further from the truth, children are just smaller people with bigger feelings! To sit down and lend an empathetic ear is to show them that they have a place in this world, and I will always make sure that they know that.
