Outside of babysitting for friends and family, I have nannied for two different families with newborns up to 2 years old. I work with kids weekly guiding yoga and art classes as well grades pre-k to 5th.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring kids interests in outdoor activities and arts. I usually have a few hours of play time outside where we can go on walks, go to the park, or play sports in the backyard. I like to have some craft time too if the kids are interested, I have my own supplies like clay, markers, and paints I could bring. I'm a bit of a bookworm and if they like reading as much as I did as a kid (which is not too common) I'd love to take them to my favorite bookstore or have reading time in the house.
My experience with special needs children...
I babysat one of my mom's students with Asperger's summer 2016. Xander was an amazing and intelligent kid, we got along very well together and I still go to his birthday almost every year! His parents really helped me navigate proper care and I enjoyed the opportunity and trust they put in me to look after him while they were at work.
