A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ayshia and I have a background in marketing, but I have recently decided to transition to the child care field. I have experience working with special needs children from the toddler age group to the high school level. I have worked with children who had autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities, hearing disabilities, and behavioral challenges.

During my time working with high school level special needs students I taught an 18 year old student whom I was told had the mental capacity of a 2 year old how to write her name. Even when no one else believed she could complete certain tasks due to being diagnosed with down syndrome, I always believed in her and pushed her to go further than the limits others placed on her.

My goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of every child I come across.
