A little bit about me

I consider myself enthusiastic, positive, and like to make the most out of every day. I currently manage an AT&T store but am looking for something new because I’ve been managing the same location for the past 6 years and I think change would be positive for me. I love children and all of my friends keep saying I should become a nanny because of how good I am with their kids. The biggest benefit would be the actual daily interactions and seeing how much I can impact their lives by teaching them life skills. I am a huge believer in structure and discipline for children because it shapes who they become and how they react to the world. The biggest thing though, is letting kids be kids at the same time. You’re only a child once and it should be filled with happy memories. Besides for all of that though, in my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I love the beach and summer and try to be outside as much as possible. I hibernate in the winter bc I’m a terrible skier.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Crafts, boardgames, home made educational games, dress up, forts, reading stories, painting. I pretty much take myself back to my childhood and try to give them the great experiences I had. While it’s still nice, depending on their age I would like to take them to the park or walking a hiking trail but this is all dependent on the parent. I’ve also always wanted to go to the children’s museum and Randy land.

Making sure that the child feels safe by creating a warm environment for them. Children need to have fun but they also need structure, manners and discipline so they don’t turn into a brat (I am very blunt). The most important part of being a nanny is being there for the child’s overall well-being.

Teaching my ex’s kids how to speak, potty train, shapes, colors, manners, and how to write their names. It was pretty impactful for all of us.
