A little bit about me

I have 4 adult children that were raised in Vero Beach and attended St Edwards school. I also have 5 grandchildren; 2 in Vero Beach and 3 in Maine and I’ve cared for all of them. I have 6 plus years caring for other children and stayed on overnights. I love the outdoors and am very physically active having kept fit and eating healthy. I have been a resident of Vero Beach since 1975 moving here from Michigan where I was raised along with 3 siblings. I have managed a women’s boutique off of Ocean Drive and presently work part-time as a nanny. I am interested in taking care of children for you and am also available for travel.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have raised 4 children, now all adults. I have cared for children from birth to age 15. I watched my new born grandson in Vero Beach for our 2 years of Covid from 8-5 Monday through Friday as his mother, is a teacher at Saint Edwards School. Childcare is something I enjoy tremendously and have been doing it more than 1/2 my life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading, puzzles, outdoor activities from strolling to swimming, put put golf, going to our beachside park for playtime and picnic’s, bike rides and of course school studies. I am experienced in taking children for Dr/Dental appointments, and school pickup. Available for overnight and traveling.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Anyone can watch children; it takes a loving, attentive and patient person to care for them with a vigilance as if they were your own. You are possibly their first impression in life if they are newborn and in their most important developmental years so it is of the highest importance to make it the best in all you do for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Experiencing the childhood milestones; moving on from the bottle to solid foods., learning to crawl, when their teeth start to come in, walking. Starting to pretend play, and talk and I could go on and on. It’s truly magnificent to watch our children develop from birth to starting preschool and on up in their educational years assisting with school work and celebrating special achievements.
