Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love an outing- zoo, aquarium, park, museum- a personal favorite of mine is making a scavenger hunt for items we think we'll see :) I'm always down for a reading party- picking our favorite books, playing calm music, and getting cozy in blankets! I find that the more involved kids are in cooking the more likely they are to eat whatever we make, so I love a fun cooking or baking project.
My experience with special needs children...
I am currently youth president of Friendship Circle, a program for kids and young adults with special needs. I facilitate programming while supervising a team of over 100 teen volunteers and 40 special needs participants with both genetic and developmental special needs.
