More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in many places that focus on childcare and children's activities including being an RBT in schools and clinics, a summer kids camp golf counselor, at Disney World as a "magic maker" in the park's restaurants, and babysitting/nannying.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts like painting or coloring, playdough or other sensory play, reading books, puzzles and problem-solving games when in the house. When outside I like to do parks and playgrounds or even just watch the kids bike ride or draw with chalk!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building trust with both the children and parents. It is also important to create a safe environment where the kids are happy and the parents get everything they need to done!
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working with children with special needs through my role as a registered behavior technician (RBT) in a school and clinic setting. In this position, I supported children with a range of developmental and behavioral needs by implementing individualized behavior plans and helping them build important life and social skills. I've developed strong patience, adaptability, and communication skills, allowing me to meet each child where they are and support them in a way that works best for their needs. I'm comfortable maintaining routines, using positive reinforcement strategies, and creating a calm, supportive environment where children feel safe and understood.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be working with a family in New Jersey for four years before moving down to Florida. My time with them has only made me appreciate being a nanny for one specific family so much. Throughout those years, I spent time with the children watching them improve with regular skills, social skills, and sports. We all liked hockey too, so the family would love when I took the kids to NHL games so they could have a night off. Moments like that are something I will hold onto forever, and the bond that is built with the entire family is even more special.
