I used to be a after school teacher at kids unlimited in Medford. Also was a behavioral therapist working for a company called CARD with children and special needs.

One moment would be when I was working at CARD, I had a special needs girl on my schedule. Worked with her all day from 7am-6pm. It was time for her to go home and she looked at me and said thank you for playing with me. I said of course and she went back to saying nobody spends tine with her because she was “different”. That broke my heart and it’s just a special moment I remember when I’m caring for children.
