More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up in a big family and my family did foster care so I have been around children my whole life. I loved helping with the younger kids growing up. Now I’ve been a nanny for more than 15 years.
My last position was for a 3, 5, 7, and 9 year-old. It was less than a year because they moved out of state.
Before that I was with a family for ten years. I started when the oldest child was a couple months old and then they had two more kids and when I parted ways as their nanny they were 5, 7, and 9 so they were all in school and didn’t need a full-time nanny. I still am in contact with them and get to see them often.
From August 2014-August 2015 I did a nanny-share for a boy and girl, ages two and three.
From March 2011-August 2014 I nannied two boys; they were an infant and (almost) 4 yrs old when I started and 3 yrs and 6 yrs old when we parted ways.
I have also worked in preschools and daycares and done some various babysitting over the years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Everything! Going to the playground, crafts, building with blocks/magnatiles/legos, playing pretend, going on walks, stomping in puddles when it’s raining. I love to let kids explore and try new things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe grown-ups are guides for children. I acknowledge the importance of setting boundaries while simultaneously treating children with respect. I employ modeling, “re-dos”, and natural consequences as teaching strategies. Social-emotional skills are just as important as learning our colors and ABCs.
