Hi! My name is Brandie, I'm a 29 yr old graduate with a background in creative writing, coastal biology, and environmental education. I love kids and have cared for all ages. I also enjoy all pets. I'm certified in CPR and First Aid.

My experiences are varied, having worked as an occasional as-needed sitter, both a part-time and full-time nanny, held relationships with families for a couple visits, a few months, or a few years at a time, been a recreational guide and program leader for children, and taught at both a preschool and a K-8 charter school.

I like being very involved and hands on with the kids I watch so I always try to think of games and things we can do together, and I genuinely have fun doing it. The more creative, outdoor, or educational experiences they can have with me (rather than being glued to a screen all day) the better!

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have any certifications for working with kids with special needs, however I've still worked with them. I helped care for a non-verbal 13 yr old (who had to be dressed and fed, helped in the bathroom, etc.), and with a handful of elementary age children with various abilities, lack of speech, behavioral issues, and autism.

I also used to volunteer for the special Olympics when in highschool.
