A little bit about me

Hi everyone! My name is Brenda, I'm a 25-year-old and am an older sister to 4 siblings (ages 10, 12, and 17). Although my education is in the sciences I have over 6 years working with children in informal settings. Before a reduction in workforce due to COVID I was working full-time at Lincoln Park Zoo as the Child and Family Programs Facilitator. LEAP (Learn, Explore, and Play) was our flagship toddler program which I facilitated. In this program, we focused on encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm in both children and caregivers through sensory-rich nature play. I miss being able to work with little ones to encourage a love of learning and nature.
