A little bit about me

My promise as a caretaker is to foster a love of learning and use my patience to help facilitate socio-emotional development. My approach is child led with boundaries in place for lessons littles shouldn’t have to learn on their own. This can manifest in many different ways as all parents, parent differently and all children are well, very different kids! I use my background in child care (8 professional years), schooling (Family and Human Development major-ASU), the ever changing new literature for parenting and observation of your child(ren) to feel confident in making choices that bring out the best version of your child. In the end, the goal is that your child is exactly who they’re meant to be, confidently. Lastly, every job is a learning opportunity for me, therefore I am able to adjust to different parenting, learning, or lifestyle methods. I’ve watched families of all kinds and find the differences in styles to be a great experience.

"Bri is amazing! My son literally asks for us to go out so that Bri can come over and hang with him. We first met Bri at my son's daycare so she has been taking care of our boy since he was 2 months old and he just had his 7th birthday. She has experience in a chaotic daycare setting with kids of all ages. She has experience as a full time nanny. She has experience as a babysitter. She has experience and years of it! She developed a special bond with our kiddo who is not a walk-in-the-park all the time. She has been invited to everyone of his birthday parties and she actually shows up because she cares. She has been there for us in a pinch and she is just easy to work with. Happy to be a referral for anyone to talk to if needed!"

"Briana is amazing! Our boys (two and six months) absolutely love her! She always has fun activities planned that help with a variety of developmental milestones and is great at singing, stories, and crafts! She is always on time, shows up with a super positive attitude, and cleans up before she leaves. Our two year old can be a bit clingy and always gets upset when we leave, except when Nanny Brie is around. She is so engaging and fun that he says a quick goodbye and gets back to playing. She has been an absolute godsend and we cannot say enough good things about her!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 6 years of experience as a teacher @ SUMC Daycare in Scottsdale. One year as a lead teacher for the ones classroom. After that I had a year and a half as a full time nanny(15 month old and newborn(born after a year)). a temp job as a full time nanny(3 months til 6 months old). and currently have a part time job as a “backup” nanny to an 21month and newborn.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am an avid reader and all things imagination are my forte. I am huge in imaginative play, song time leading to performance times, i love crafts, i adore walks, i love chalk and water time outside, and libraries and children museums are my go to! I just adore learning and learning with/through your littles (us big guys don’t know everything you know). I believe in child led learning with boundaries. whatever fun your child loves i’ll adapt

The most important part about being a nanny...

the impact we have, the bonds we can make, the stories we can tell, the confidence we build, we are helping your littles grow. every part is an important part isn’t it?

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children is difficult to state. Many littles emotional, behavioral, and physical needs are still being identified. As kids grow we as caretakers play a role in identifying what these needs may be and if extra care is needed. I have cared for various children who experience the world differently, with and without diagnoses. I have experience with learning disabilities, deafness/hearing impairment, speech impairment, and those with emotional sensitivity. I will meet you and your child where you are at.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when I see my impact in a child’s life as well. Whether it’s a parent who lets me know their little mentioned me on a day i missed or when i wasn’t around or i hear your little repeating phrases i know i brought into the household. it’s always amazing seeing how much our involvement shapes the youth and always my point to make sure im shaping them in a way that promote kindness and confidence while also making sure that shaping is getting these littles to express a version of THEMSELVES
