I worked for about 8 months in an educational daycare. I worked with kids aged infant to five years old, plus some experience with seven to twelve years old.

Indoor/outdoor activities I enjoy doing with children are board games, reading, painting, drawing and coloring, playing catch, sidewalk chalk. Playing hide and seek is always fun, freeze dance, building blocks and puppet shows.

I'll start with their safety being upmost importance but secondly, to invest quality time with each kid and with the kids together. It's important to me that they feel seen, heard and important. If they feel scared, I want them to know they can come to me and that it's okay to feel that way. It's important to me that they feel comfortable. They deserve to feel special and unique and have fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Probably when the mom was going for the weekend and it was a stormy night and the kids were scared, so I told them they could bring their blankets and pillows into the living room where I was going to sleep and just camp out on the floor. I put a cartoon on for all of us and we all cuddled up and enjoyed the show while it rained and stormed.
