More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked at my hometown ymca & done several kids camps, & different community events. I worked as a lifeguard in highschool years; Doing swimming lessons & water activities with children of all ages. I worked for a church camp as an activity group leader/lifeguard. Many other personable jobs as well in food service industry as a waitress, hospital, hotel, & pharmacy. I do have a resume I would love to share. I am an aunt to 6 of the cutest kids ever and the godmother of my best friends little boy. I have a large family so I’ve always been around other children growing up. So I just have always been great with kids since I can remember. As a little girl always loving baby dolls, playing house, & playing school. I started getting paid to babysit basically as soon as I could take care of myself properly & safely without adults around. I believe around age 11. It started with my neighbors daughter across the street, and seemed like the rest was history.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Figuring out what the kiddo likes to do, & letting them teach me. Fun activities that involve learning, or teaching them a new skill.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Becoming a helping hand for a family in need, taking a stressor off of their plate. Making a difference in the life of a young kid, by being a younger role model for them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a 6 yr old nephew with autism who is non-verbal. So I have had to learn how to communicate with him through his language. Although, he doesn't speak he still communicates things. I've learned to read his body language, figure out what he likes, & doesn't, and how to make him feel safe, & comfortable.
