A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Bridget, I am 30 years old, a certified holistic health coach, avid snowboarder, and have 15 years of babysitting and nannying experience! I grew up with a little brother (6 years younger than me), so, naturally, I was a built-in helper/nanny to my mom. I was very eager to be independent when I was 13, which led me to take a babysitting course at the local community center to get first aid & CPR certified. I also learned about all the important details on kids’ safety and everything about handling babies from this course. When I was 16 I became a lifeguard in Malibu and worked at a surf camp where I got to teach kids about ocean safety and how to surf! I have worked for many families as a date night sitter and/or as a nanny all over… started in CA 17 years ago, moved to CO 5 years ago and have recently worked for families in Denver and Breckenridge. Now an Eagle local, I’d love to return to nannying / household management.

Arts and crafts are definitely my favorite! I’ve also set up science experiments, nature walks/ hikes, baking goodies, and usually end up reading a bunch of books or helping the kids read.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is being a good role model for the kids, making sure everything mom needs help with is taken care of, and being responsible & kind - in order to make parents feel comfortable and happy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a couple of autistic kids in the past, and a few with behavioral issues such as ADHD. I am open to working with any kind of disability, though. I consider myself a very kind, intelligent, faithful and loving person that can handle anything.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most recently, I was watching Quinn (3.5 year old, female). We were dancing around in the backyard and blowing many bubbles with her bubble wands. Other than the genuine joy we both felt that day… when Quinn looked at me and thanked me for being her best friend, I felt so much gratitude for the opportunity to be a light in her life and have her as a light in my life.
