I was babysitting a 5 year old boy and when I walked into his home, I observed him watching cold of duty, on YouTube. I was disturb because of the content and sad because he wasn't being monitored properly by his parents prior to me coming over. I tried to get his attention, however he was glued to the tv!! I tried a few times before just having to turn it off. I encourage him to come to the park with me and told him id get him a few nerf guns to play with at the park. When we arrived it sadden me because he was overly nervous to socialize. I assume this was because he was on the tv too much and began to lack connections amongst kids his age. I popped open my truck and got all the nerf guns and toys out, and invited all the kids to play and watching him be a kid at that moment, laughing and running and truly enjoying his time has never brought me more joy and love in my heart!
