Hello! I’m Brittney, a friendly and caring babysitter with a passion for working with children. I’ve served as a teacher assistant in a preschool, helping to create a fun, educational environment, and I’m also a tutor, offering academic support in a creative, engaging way.

I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with plans to continue on for a Master’s. My studies in psychology have given me a deeper understanding of child development, which I apply in my care. In addition, I’ve been actively involved with my one-year-old nephew, which has further strengthened my experience with younger children.

These activities help foster creativity, collaboration, and a love for learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is getting to know each child’s unique interests and incorporating those into daily activities while teaching them essential life skills. I love finding ways to make learning fun and personalized. Equally important is being a listening ear—kids need someone who can guide them, encourage them, and be a positive role model. As children are like sponges, everything they see and experience shapes who they become, so it’s crucial to lead by example. Being a caring, educational, and inspirational figure they can trust and feel comfortable with is at the heart of what I do.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with a student at my tutoring center who had a neurological disorder affecting his speech. I provided extra support and patience, helping him communicate and improve his skills. I’ve also worked with children with ADHD, learning to be patient and understanding while helping them stay focused and engaged in their lessons. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when I can be silly and goofy with the kids to make them laugh. I love creating fun, light-hearted moments that help build a strong bond. I also enjoy providing educational videos that are both fun and engaging, allowing them to learn while having a good time. Seeing them enjoy learning and laughing is always the highlight of my day.
