I enjoy planning hands-on, engaging activities that match each child’s interests and energy level. This includes outdoor play, crafts, reading together, simple science experiments, games that build problem-solving skills, and creative imaginative play. I also like supporting learning through everyday routines such as cooking, organizing, and exploring new places, while keeping activities fun, safe, and age-appropriate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

On one of my favorite nanny days, we went on a nature walk where the children collected flowers and placed them into a handmade cardboard vase. During the walk, one of the boys excitedly picked up a snake and announced, “Ms. Brittney! Look, it’s a lizard with no legs!” and asked if we could take it home. We talked about how animals need to stay in their natural homes, which led to a great learning moment. When we returned, he sat down and drew a picture of his “friend Fred” and even wrote a short story about him, turning the experience into a creative and memorable day.
