Outdoors, I foster active play with gross motor activities, playgrounds, nature walks, scavenger hunts, picnics, and sports. The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was witnessing a two-year-old child's face light up with excitement as they successfully read through their favorite story book! Of course they weren't actually "reading" by definition, but we had gone over it enough times that they had recalled every single page! It was a wholesome accomplishment, and the pride and joy in their eyes made it a truly heartwarming and rewarding experience. It reminded me that the little victories in a child's life are often the most significant. The parents were so impressed with their child and couldn't wait to have her show me on Monday morning! It was a moment I'll always hold near and dear!
