More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have hands-on experience caring for and working with children in both camp and educational settings. Last summer, I was a camp counselor at Elbow Lane Day Camp, where I supervised groups of kids, led activities, and made sure everyone stayed safe while having fun. I also worked as an assistant teacher at a LaSalle College summer enrichment camp, where I helped support learning activities, kept students engaged, and assisted with classroom management. These experiences helped me build strong communication, patience, and leadership skills when working with children of different ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping kids active, creative, and engaged! Some of my favorite activities to do with children include arts and crafts, outdoor games, playing sports, and coming up with fun, imaginative games. I also enjoy reading with kids and helping with light learning activities. I always try to match each child’s interests so they feel included, happy, and excited to spend time together!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, trusting, and positive environment for the kids. I may not have been a nanny before, but I know how important it is to be reliable, patient, and attentive. I want kids to feel comfortable and have fun with me, while also making sure they’re safe and cared for at all times.
My experience with special needs children...
During my time at the LaSalle College summer enrichment camp, I also had some experience working with children with special needs in a classroom setting. While my experience is still growing, I was able to support students by being patient, attentive, and flexible to their individual needs. This helped me learn how to create a more inclusive and supportive environment where every child feels comfortable and understood.
