Being understanding. A child’s mind is so different from the adults that it takes longer for them to process things which is why you need patience. You have to watch your emotions around them because they mimic what you do.

When I was I’m Highschool. I was in class with a young girl named Brianna who was paralyzed from head to toe. I volunteered a couple times to help her around in school which was wiping drool off her, having patience when she’s typing because she used a screen to type. Give her water, talk to her. I never did anything personal like bathe her or brush her teeth but I want to learn. It’s my passion to be around children.
