More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a babysitter since I have been 12. I worked in a daycare and a disabilities preschool, both for 3 months. I also worked as a reading tutor in an elementary school, working one on one with children ages k-3 for 4 months. I currently work as a nanny, and it is my first nannying job.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Making forts is my specialty. I love going for walks, dancing, art, singing, and playing uno. I adapt to the child's interests, so they feel like individuals, so whatever they like to do! I love helping in reading and implementing education anywhere I can. My personal favorites are the floor is lava, board games, singing along to musicals and cooking with the kiddos! I like going to parks, and feeding the geese. I love going to different libraries too.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making others feel cared for and supported. I also think being the person children go to for safety is extremely important to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked in a disabilities preschool for 3 months. I was very good at my job. I learned how to respond to children who are having episodes or are combative. I worked with children all along the spectrum. I learned to anticipate a child's movement and triggers. I worked alongside a teacher, and helped around the classroom.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a jar filled with funny quotes the students said. I lost it but it really made me smile.
