A little bit about me

I’m a stay at home mom whose children are almost grown and flown. I love children especially little ones. I have worked as a nanny, camp counselor, scout leader, babysitter and more. I have experience with allergies, dietary needs and picky eaters. Although not currently certified I have many years of CPR and lifeguard experience. I have child abuse and criminal background checks available as well.

I have an art background, enjoy the outdoors including swimming, walking, exploring and more. I love reading and encouraging growth through play.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a mom of a 21 yo son and 16 yo daughter I have experienced so much. My oldest is now working on his degree and my youngest is beginning her college search.

I have many years from watching my kids as well as those of friends through the years.

I was a nanny, camp counselor, scout leader, classroom volunteer for the last 20 years!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time outside exploring nature and running in the park, playing in the swings and going down the slides!

I have an art background so any type of fun craft projects from tie dye to building with Lego’s!

I was a scout leader and camp counselor and taught cooking so can have some fun with younger ones making all kids of simple recipes.

If you have a child with allergies I am your person! I understand how to keep food safe and yummy! My primary job for as a camp counselor was preparing food for kids with all
kinds of allergies. I know how to sanitize and keep cross contamination from happening. I have recipes for all kinds of healthy yummy safe food and snacks. I have a child with food allergies! I get it.

I have many years of lifeguarding and CPR experience but am not currently certified. It expired over COVID and I haven’t found the time to renew it. It does not mean I wouldn’t hesitate to use if every necessary. I am currently scheduled to renew it in the fall.

Love, laughter happiness and growth!

Basic skills are wonderful and needed but what really makes a good nanny is loving them like your own, laughing so hard you can’t stop, hoping all their days end happy and helping them gain the skills to grow to be amazing people!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I watched a little girl years ago and she and I stay in touch. She and I would go on adventures in the neighborhood. We found an injured bird and took it back to her house where we found out from the wildlife center how to care for it. After several days of helping feed and watch the bird it was able to fly away. She told me then she wanted to be a nurse.

I was able to watch her (even if virtual) during COVID get her nursing degree. She is now serving and is oversees doing what she loves best. Helping those who need it. She told me before she left “Thanks for believing in me. You told me I could do anything and always had my back!” I still keep in touch although it’s harder as she is in the field.

She doesn’t realize she helped me as well. She taught me how to love a child and made me a better person and therefore a better mom. It’s not always easy but it sure is worth it when you see not just those you watched but those you raised turn into some amazing adult human beings.
