Hello! My name is Kayla Allen, and I have spent 23 years caring for elderly, children, infants, and pets. Those experiences paired with my love for providing compassion, safety, comfort, and peace in a home, have shaped me into a great caregiver for all types of families. I enjoy all kinds of cooking from Asian, to Italian, American, Greek, Mexican, Danish, and Southern. I love being creative, encouraging imagination, and always pursuing the nurturing of education. I have experience with children that have special needs, elderly with debilitating ailments, and large family homes. Play board games, go to the park, play a sport, listen to music and sing along, make crafts, teach how to cook, gardening, ride bikes, go for walks, build forts and play theatre, build with blocks/Legos, read, tell stories, do puzzles, style hair, dance, draw/paint, make journals/scrapbooks, hand/feet print ornaments, have a movie day, jump-rope and hop-scotch, make a puppet show, make bead art, play card games, do science projects, teaching how to stitch/sew, play video games, play dress up, play treasure hunts, making cleaning fun, et cetera.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Realizing that you're helping shape youth to becoming a shining star; you are instrumental in their learning development and providing resources to children that will inspire them with creativity and wonder.

My experience with special needs children...

Tutored a child that was autistic; was home-schooled around special needs peers growing up, and attended Special Education classes, so I'm familiar with behaviors, habits, and how to handle specific situations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

All the neighborhood children would visit me so I could play music and we'd all dance and sing to it, while going around performing crafts.
