A little bit about me

I have retired from my teaching position in a private school.
I taught children ages 3-6 for 15 years .Most of my students were with me for 3 years. The average class size was 20. I have a Montessori certification to work with children ages 3-6 and have studied how Montessori applies to children from birth - 3.years. I love and respect the dignity of children and I am a better person for having worked with them. I would like to continue working with children in a home setting. I love the outdoors and I am comfortable with pets. My manner of care is taken from the Montessori philosophy of honoring the dignity of the child. Through care and observation I will provide the child with what is developmentally appropriate to their ability and suitable to their personality. My manner of discipline is also using observation to determine the best approach to correction while keeping the respect of the child first.
