My experience with special needs children...
I’ve cared for children who could not verbally communicate they had challenges explaining what was wrong and comprehending tasks, however they improved a little bit from when I first started working with them as far as not being able to tell me they had to use the bathroom to creating a schedule to where they never made an accident on themselves as well as not being able to write anything to drawing circles and following dotted lines . I’ve also worked with people older than me yet had a child like mind set at a grouphome .
