A little bit about me

Hi families! I am an experienced and loving career nanny with over 12 years of experience with children in preschool and private nanny settings. I absolutely adore working with infants! I received my B.S. in Psychology and Family & Youth Sciences and an M.S. in Counseling & Child Development. Since then, I have worked in a daycare facility as an infant teacher and have been a full time nanny for the past 10 years, six of which have been in nanny shares. I am currently wrapping up my nanny share position of three years in October. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am an "out and about" nanny and enjoy taking them on adventures to local parks, playgrounds, and libraries. I love music and enjoy introducing children to music class to learn about instruments and rhythm. With infants, we enjoy playing with sensory bins, tummy time, fingerprinting and singing songs! I take the child's lead in his/her interests, as well as introduce them to some of my own, such as cooking and art! We do many crafty activities together, such as painting, Lego, making play dough creations, and making animals out of pipe cleaners and fabric. As I recently have worked with active boys, we also do a lot of fort building, playing pretend superheroes, and soccer!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I am a naturally nurturing person, and very intuitive to the needs of babies and children. I have adored working with children and babysitting since a young age and have always been drawn to the helping professions. I have established wonderful bonds with the families I nannied for, and have been lucky to be a part of many successful nanny shares! Nothing brings me more joy than seeing children grow and blossom into their own unique selves. I have a calming, approachable energy and am confident in my ability to read the room and discern where support might be most needed on a given day - I feel that this has made me successful in helping households run smoothly. I am creative, devoted, fun-loving, and these are all qualities that align well with a career nanny role!
