The most important part about being a nanny...
I think what matters the most about being a nanny is the love you put into it! I believe not every one has the patience it takes and overall not every one has the mental maturity it requieres . I personally think you have to be able to know how and when to switch from your inner child to your adult self depending on every situation. Is a complicated thing to explain but in less words, you just have to love what your doing.
My experience with special needs children...
My 5 year old brother is autistic and I have been taking care of him since he was 9 months old. My mom is usually very busy and would not trust anyone else to take care of him. As well as my 10 year old sister. She is now a stay at home mom so I decided to continue doing what I love but outside of home.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I once was babysitting for a date night for a family that I worked for before and the power kept cutting out causing the kids to get scared and wake up yelling my name I would go to their room to tell them it was okay and try to put them back to bed for the light to cut out again (it was raining so bad, I was scared myself could not imagine what the poor babies felt) made me feel like I was in the typical nanny horror movie! That was a long night.
