More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have extensive childcare experience through my background in behavior analysis, providing direct therapy and support to children with a variety of developmental and special needs. I have also worked as a nanny for special needs families, providing daily care, support with routines, and engaging activities tailored to each child’s needs. I have accompanied families on vacations, assisted with travel routines, and provided dependable, compassionate care in a variety of settings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a variety of fun, engaging activities with children that encourage creativity, learning, and connection. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, swimming, Play-Doh and sensory activities, cooking and baking together, reading, singing, dancing, outdoor adventures, and exploring new places like theme parks. I love creating experiences that are not only fun but also help children build confidence, develop new skills, and make meaningful memories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where a child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to grow. A great nanny builds trust with both the child and family, provides consistent and dependable care, and takes the time to understand each child’s unique personality, needs, and interests.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with children with a variety of special needs through my background in behavior analysis. I have provided direct therapy and individualized support to children with developmental differences, focusing on communication, social skills, emotional regulation, independence, and daily living skills. I have also worked as a nanny for special needs families, providing compassionate care, supporting routines, implementing strategies, and creating engaging activities tailored to each child’s unique needs. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, consistency, and celebrating each child’s individual strengths and progress.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was accompanying a family on a cross-country trip with their special needs child. I was able to provide support throughout the journey and help her successfully navigate the experience of flying on an airplane. Seeing her overcome challenges, feel confident, and enjoy the adventure was incredibly rewarding. It was a meaningful reminder of how important patience, preparation, encouragement, and individualized support are in helping children feel safe and successful in new experiences.
