The most important part about being a nanny...
the thing that matters the most is the well-being of the child. so they feel safe and are healthy inside and out. i have came across many families and the thing i try and do is always put the child’s priorities first.
My experience with special needs children...
i have experience with autistic children and a sat for a couple who had a two year old with down syndrome. although special needs children have different needs i still love them just as much!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
one of my favorite nanny moments was when i sat for a couple who had an autistic son. he was very bright and intelligent. he could tell i was upset that day (a good friend of mine had passed away that morning but i still went ahead and sat for his parents.) and he asked if i was okay. i told him yes i was just having a sad moment. he then, got up and grabbed tissues and told me everything was going to be okay and that jesus was with me. in that moment, the boy and i grew such a big bond that to this day no one will be able to break. he is 17 now, but i still cherish his sweet self. and when i have the chance i normally go out and still do stuff with him like; bowling, chuck e. cheese, mini golf, etc.
