More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a range of childcare experience that has given me a solid foundation for working with children of different ages and needs. I’ve babysat for one of my close friends, caring for her 2-year-old son, which included keeping him entertained, fed, and happy. I also spent eight months helping care for another friend’s child, starting when he was 14 months old and continuing until he was 21 months, during a critical time of his growth and development. Additionally, I gained valuable experience working with children with disabilities during my time as a direct support professional. This role taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide attentive and compassionate care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When I’m caring for children, I love engaging them in activities that are both fun and enriching. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk, playing at the park, or exploring nature together. Crafting and creative projects are always a favorite too—I love helping kids use their imaginations. I also enjoy baking or cooking simple recipes with them, turning it into a fun and interactive way to learn and bond. Reading books, playing games, and supporting their interests are all part of the activities I enjoy sharing with the children I care for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part of nannying is creating a safe, nurturing, and loving environment where children feel supported and valued. Building trust with both the children and their parents is key, as it forms the foundation for open communication and mutual respect. I believe it’s essential to be patient, attentive, and adaptable, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met while fostering their growth and independence. At the heart of it all, being a positive and reliable presence in their lives is what truly makes a difference.
