A little bit about me

I was always called the baby whisper growing up in church. The parents who had infants & toddlers would bring me there little one to care for so they could enjoy the service. Their child was never a problem for me they loved coming to me. By the time service was over there little one would always be fast to sleep on the church pew. I love little ones when ever your sad you just look at the sweet face and all the sadness is gone cause of the little ones angelic face.

"I've known Christina since she was a teenager from our church. I love her bubbly spirit, great personality willing to help spur of the moment. . Before the birth of my daughter only family would watch our son. When our daughter was born we didn't have that luxury. Outside of family we had no one. My husband worked as a milkman at that time and had to go to work at 4:30 in the morning. I was a stay at home mother but I deal with a chronic disease called Sickle Cell Anemia. I'm hospitalized every few months for sometimes weeks at a time. It's also a very sporadic disease meaning that it can come at any time. She was ALWAYS AVAILABLE. No matter what time. She would keep her for the full duration of my crisis no questions asked. Her willingness to help at such a young age speaks volumes. My daughter was always clean and fed and most of all happy. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading books, Sing the old school lullaby’s, I absolutely love doing crafts from Coloring to making there very own play dough & slim don’t worry all my play dough & slim recipes are eatable. I love gardening with little ones showing them how we get are vegetables & fruits they love seeing there very own plant grow. I build blanket & pillow hide outs to tell story or just to watch stars glow. I love teach little ones how to make food, desserts, funny snacks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a mother myself to me the most important thing is to treat the child as you would want someone to treat your own child. Safety is first and making sure that child is always learning cause children are happier when they are learning something new and cool.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 2 boys my oldest is 4 and youngest is 3. My 4 year old was diagnosed at 1 with ADHD & Autism but somehow now he is a completely different child I worked with him & my sister we would do all the activities to help him develop his speech & interaction with people. In my opinion a child is not different because of ADHD or Autism that just means they are more precious cause the learn just a little more different then others.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a 3 year old little girl that was naughty to the core her parents warned me ahead of time. Within 2 days of watching her for less the 15 hours I had that little naughty girl switch her whole attitude and demeanor completely. Day 3 the father woke her up and shocked him cause she somehow manage to turn into a little angel. I carry what most parents call a goodie purse with me when I am watching someone child. All it took was for me to pull out my princess hand puppet and show the little girl who came to meet her but she had to promise to be nice because if she was mean and naughty the little princess wouldn’t come out. So to ensure she would stay sweet and well behaved I had reminded her that if she wanted the princess to return she had to be kind and respectful to everyone especially mommy and daddy always cause if not the princess wouldn’t return. In all my life I will never forget that 3 days cause that little once naughty girl was a sweet angel for that day on.
