A little bit about me

Looking for a summer Nanny/Sitter position until August 9th. I work for the city schools and will be returning to work. I would like to connect with a family long term to provide summer care when the kids are out of school. I am reliable, & trustworthy. Proactive & energetic. Play & sensory based approach style to care. I am looking to join a family in the short term, perhaps long term if the right fit. I love doing activities w/ children including baking, outdoor play, and arts/crafts. I am child centered, so learning about & applying their needs & interests is important to me. I am an all inclusive provider, & want the family to be at ease w/ me. So I’d be happy to do anything from laundry to light housekeeping & meal preparation. I have a special passion for infants and toddlers. But I enjoy older children as well. Experience with high functioning autism. Bonding with the child and family. You develop a connection as you gain trust and learn needs and preferences. It’s an act of compassion and service. Knowing what you do makes an impact on the daily care needs of the family and the reliability and stability of the childcare you are providing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Playing video games on the Wii. We laughed so hard racing each other. It was his favorite activity. We really bonded playing games together and getting competitive against each other to win races and beat high scores.
