Hi, I’m Corinne! I’ve been surrounded by young children all my life, and I’ve been professionally working with kids for ten years (as a nanny since 2021). Childcare is an absolute labor of love for me.
I have a certificate in early childhood development from Utah Valley University. I have extensive experience with infants and toddlers. I have also worked closely with children and teens with cognitive and physical disabilities. (I’ve professionally worked with adults with disabilities as well.)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts is one of my favorite activities! It’s great for building fine motor skills, and can be as simple as gluing shapes onto a paper or as elaborate as building a masterpiece from clay!
My favorite outdoor activity is going to the park, in the right weather we can go nearly every day! It’s especially fun with the splash pads in the summer 🥳

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having your OWN set of emotion regulation skills! Know yourself! You can’t teach what you don’t know, and kids learn by example.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been a regular backup babysitter for a girl with a brain injury, whose speech and behavior stunted and regressed at the age of 4. This included helping her change, preparing meals, sticking to a schedule, and keeping her active with plenty of activities in the community. We also had a focus on emotion regulation, impulse control, and speech and physical therapies.
I also have plenty of experience with autism. I have a few (younger) family members with ASD, as well as children I have worked with. Of course, there’s a wide spectrum of functionality and ways that autism can present, so I’m happy to elaborate on my experiences as it is relevant to you!

The most important part about being a nanny...

We were teaching toddler “Who is in your family?” Toddler insisted on always including my name in the list (I promise I didn’t teach him that)! It warmed my heart!
