A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Cystal Peralta, and I have dedicated over ten years to working with children in various roles. My experience ranges from being a nanny and an infant teacher to a preschool teacher, and I am currently a middle school educator. In addition to teaching, I have a deep passion for mentorship and coaching. I coach softball for girls ages 7-14 and serve as an assistant coach for a high school girls’ softball team.

Family is incredibly important to me. While I don’t have children of my own, I am a proud godmother to four wonderful kids and a fun-loving aunt to five nieces and five nephews. I cherish the opportunity to support, guide, and nurture young minds, whether in the classroom, on the field, or in everyday life. My passion for working with children stems from a genuine desire to help them grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have eight years of experience as a camp counselor for a recreational program, where I developed strong leadership and mentorship skills. In addition, I have worked as an infant teacher, preschool teacher, and currently as a middle school educator. For the past two years, I have also been coaching youth girls' softball, combining my passion for sports with my dedication to youth development. My experience working with children of all ages has given me a well-rounded perspective on fostering growth, learning, and teamwork in various settings.

Some activities I enjoy doing with children include going on walks, exploring nature, and engaging in creative art projects using a variety of materials to encourage self-expression. I love taking kids to the park, where they can be active and enjoy the outdoors. I also enjoy visiting museums and other interactive spaces that provide opportunities for both fun and learning, allowing children to explore new ideas, spark curiosity, and develop a love for discovery.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and feel valued. It’s about building strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their families while providing care that goes beyond just supervision. A great nanny fosters a child’s development through engaging activities, emotional support, and consistency, helping to shape their confidence and independence. Being a positive role model and making a lasting impact on a child’s life is what truly makes this role meaningful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite aspects of being a caregiver is maintaining lasting connections with the families of the children I cared for as infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It brings me so much joy to stay in touch, receive updates, and see photos of how they are growing and transitioning through different stages of life. Some of the children I once cared for have now graduated middle school, and I still see them as high schoolers. It’s an incredible feeling to know that, at one point in their journey, I was there to support and guide them.
