A little bit about me

I am a Third Year College Student majoring in Psychology. I currently attend the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University. I am 20 years old and have been watching children ever since I was able to cook on my own and my mother had my siblings. I live on my own and can provide my own transportation to get anywhere I would like. If you're looking for a respectful and reliable nanny, then that's me. I'm willing to work with parents in regards to the needs of their children and communication will not be an issue with me. Even though I favor babies, I am very well with children from all ages when it comes to caring and nurturing children. I will make sure the fundamental needs like eating and hygiene are met but also make sure the child learns in the process of growing. Housekeeping is not a problem for me either.

I was in a group club that involved caring for special needs children. "The Best Friend's Club," we made the children feel special and involved them in daily high school activities. I've hosted/planned birthday parties for children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is being able to effectively communicate/teach the child in a way they understand. You can do so by paying attention to the child's love language and the way they communicate.

My experience with special needs children...

I was apart of a club that prioritized accomplishing the needs of the special needs children in high school. The "Best Friend's Club." We were each paired with a student with a special need and we were buddies with them all year. We made sure they felt special and included into everything. Also working towards their needs and understanding their love language. I also nannied my autistic cousin multiple times. Even though he couldn't speak, I figured out a way of developing a relationship with him. He's 5 going on 6.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when I had taught a 1 year old baby how to throw trash away. He would always beg me for some chocolate when he wasn't suppose to. I would ask him "why do you want it?" and he would cry because I didn't give it to him. So I told him he could have it if he learned how to throw the wrapper away after eating it. So I proceeded to show him how to open the trash can and throw the wrapper away. He succeeded and of course I had to clap for him so he would know that the behavior is accepted. Ever since that day, he started throwing away his trash in the kiddie dumpster. He even went to the extinct of showing his friends at church. Even in church !lol
