The kids wanted to create a dinner party for mom and dad. Once I had approval and a budget from the parents, we put together a project plan, drafted a simple menu, created invitations, made a shopping list, discussed the budget, went shopping, and then put it all together in a sweet little dinner. It was a blast and made for a week of small daily projects that could be tracked and checked off. It was a great learning opportunity with project management, goal setting, communication, budgeting, art, science, cooking, cleaning up, time management, empathy, and a lot of fun.
