Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to do a lot of babysitting for preschool age kids when I was a preteen/early teenager, and now I currently work at a daycare center in which I mostly work with 3/4 year old kids but I have also had a lot of experience with elementary school age kids (1st-5th grade) and some experience with toddlers (1-2 years old).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing various games, doing puzzles together, learning and teaching letters and sounds and numbers, outdoor games, crafts and art, reading books, and making music.

I think that some of the most important things about working in childcare is being kind, patient, and nurturing with kids and helping them learn to love learning and exploring.

I’ve had a few months worth of experience in helping a 3-year-old girl with autism who is non-verbal.
