My favorite nannying moment actually occurred after I stopped nannying for the family. I had worked closely with the family and became an extension of their family. When I had to move away, I remained in close friendship with the family. Every Christmas I had brought the girls to get the family Christmas tree, it became our tradition. So when I moved away, it looked like the end of a tradition, however I was able to make the trip “home” to surprise the girls. The mom didn’t tell them I would be coming up and the youngest asked her elf on the shelf if he would bring me home. It was a wonderful surprise for the girls to be able to continue our tradition one more year.
