For creative time indoors, I love arts and crafts, building imaginative worlds with LEGOs or blocks, and reading stories together with different character voices to bring books to life. I'm also very hands-on with educational activities like simple baking projects to teach measurements, puzzles to develop problem-solving skills, and fun science experiments. Most importantly, I love tuning into each child's unique interests, whether it's dinosaurs, space, or animals, and finding activities that make their eyes light up.

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not yet had the opportunity to work professionally with a child with specific diagnosed special needs, it is an area I am genuinely eager and prepared to learn about. My experience raising my three siblings has given me a strong foundation in skills that I believe are essential for this kind of care: immense patience, careful observation, and the ability to adapt to each child's unique pace and needs.

I understand that every child is an individual, and I am committed to working closely with parents to understand their child's specific requirements, routines, and communication styles. I am a quick learner, ready to follow any necessary plans or therapies, and my primary goal is always to ensure every child in my care feels safe, understood, and supported in reaching their full potential.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was witnessing a breakthrough with my youngest brother. He was struggling to learn simple addition and was getting very frustrated. Instead of pushing through, I switched gears and turned it into a game using his favorite toy cars. We lined them up, 'raced' them into groups, and counted them. The moment his frustration melted away and was replaced by a huge smile of understanding that 'I get it!' sparkle in his eyes was incredibly rewarding. It taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and connecting learning to a child's own interests.
